In addition to reciving and procesing 9-1-1 and non-emergency telephone calls, MECCA 9-1-1 dispatches for all emergency service agencies in Monongalia county. This includes six police departments (plus calls for service that are received, processed, and transferred to the
WVU Department of Public Safety), two SWAT teams, two Emergency Medical Service and medical transport organizations, thirteen fire departments (twelve volunteer departments located throughout the county and one paid department that operates three stations within the city limits of Morgantown), fire department and police depart dive teams, two HAZMAT teams (one volunteer and one paid), a forest fire crew, WV Div. of Natural Resources Conservation Officers, WV State Div. of Forestry officers, county Medical Examiners, and dog wardens, amongst others.
