Services
In addition to receiving and processing 9-1-1 and non-emergency telephone calls, MECCA 9-1-1 dispatches for all emergency service agencies in Monongalia County. This includes six police departments (plus calls for service that are received, processed, and transferred to the West Virginia University Department of Public Safety, two SWAT teams, two Emergency Medical Service and medical transport organizations, thirteen fire departments (twelve volunteer fire departments located throughout the county and one paid department that operates within the city limits of Morgantown out of three stations), a fire department dive team, two HAZMAT (Hazardous materials) teams (one paid and one volunteer), a forest fire crew, Division of Natural Resources/State of WV Conservation Officers, WV State Division of Forestry officers, county dog wardens, and county medical examiners, amongst others.
